time ago I posted a short article on "Book Crossing": a way to run the books for some years was born in North West Europe and that is spreading here too. I liked the idea of \u200b\u200bletting their books free to go "around the world and be read by someone, somewhere ... I had already decided to use as a corner of my studio in the center (one of my" niche " , where I'm trying to work in laboratories and free time left from my family ... somewhere in there is a photo blog) to Library "Books Ready to fly away. "But, I must say the truth, I just can not let you walk away! Like too open my library and pull out every so often, read a few pages, look at the pictures .. I can never do without it !)
But I think some of these books really deserve to be read by more people, and seeing that I will never let them go, at least I'll talk to them knowing (hoping that someone would read it every now !!!), somes article here in my blog.
I will start from this book for children (often more than I like those for adults!) that I found in a library Remainder of my city (I often visit this type of libraries, because you can find some real "jewels" ... books come out of the loop library "official", because they have not been successful and then discarded)
The author of this book, Furio Jesi, born in 1941 and died in 1980 before turning 40 years old, was a professor of language and literature German at the Universities of Palermo and Genoa, one of the leading European scholars of myth (his other books are literary studies and a novel about vampires). This is his only work for children.
The story is an adventure in a fantasy world .. belief, where magic is the protagonist of the child to travel with strange companions. There will speak
the plot, nor the skill of the illustrator (illustrations by Franco Matticchio - which does not actually know anything - and I seem perfect ...).
I will tell you only the beginning, which is what convinced me to read the story:
"Good storytellers have told many stories, many of them has told the wind, and others are written by water on the rocks of the mountains during the long rainy autumns ... " (Op. cit.)
The stories are a bit 'as the living creatures that live in the books ... can also travel with the wind, and fly to get there, where? where they were born in the hearts of poets ....
Beautiful picture of the poet who hears the story in his heart, he wakes in the night, and leaps out of bed to write. But first ....
.. If you feel that the story is happy, eats salad rose
"tender and fragrant, seasoned with olive oil and vinegar ... but without salt because it would ruin the flavor ... so you can better tell its story ... and eats it with a silver fork. Then drink in one gulp the remaining sauce (this is not to imitate, but Poets are not always very polite), and finally picks up the pen. "
(illustration by F. Matticchio and cit. from "The Haunted House" by Furio Jesi, and Mondadori 2000, p. 11-12, and a first edition. Vallardi?, 1982, was illustrated by Emanuele Luzzati (!!!), source Wikipedia)
There are poets who feel only sad stories, and then eat salad of chicory with garlic salt, pepper and eat it ... so many that they become a bit 'green ...
I hope you manage to find this beautiful book full of fantasy and image ... funny ... I will not tell you that I will soon ... .. maybe a peek ... if you come to see me! ! (That stingy, right?)
