Hello,
sorry for the delay but I made so many new things .. and I could not find a moment to update my blog. So we go step by step
I did a little 'change in my Schack I bought a new Acom 1000 linear amplifier.
I must say I was impressed by the great reliability, ease of silent agreement in short, really a great machine.
In this regard I have created a dedicated page.
Acom 1000
I did a repair on my umpteenth Hy Gain 2 elements for 40 meters. The solution
'this time was the replacement of the radical created by the two insulators with good IV3TDM that holy patience has redone with 2 other new material is modified so that by not creating more water enters the short that causes the damage you can see in the picture.
Of seguto I'll read an email sent to my mother house HyGain.

Dear Sir,
The insulators are made of the same materials that Hygain has been using for years with no complaints. If you
have had this problem all this time, why have you not said something before now?
We would have replaced them free of charge as the antenna is in warranty for 2 years from the date of
purchase. The warranty does not cover "crane services". If you need another set of insulators, please let us
know.

I finally requested a new set of insulators under warranty but will not mount more to avoid the problems I had. Continue
my experiences with the microHAM microKEYER II USB
course I now much more experience with good results.
